Are you intrigued by doorways?  Do you love the posters that highlight the doors of a particular town?  Then you should be stitching the charming set of six doors. (Actually seven if you want to stitch both Christmas and Chanukah.)  Each door has its own architectural charm and then is decorated for a particular holiday or season.

By doing the series of doors, you will gain insight into stitching buildings including techniques to add perspective such as padding, stitching curves and the use of transparent or translucent threads.

  • Valentine's Day -This delightful Victorian Door is decked out for Valentine's Day in candy colored pink.
  • Spring Door - The bright yellow door hints of the spring to come.   A pair of Hyacinths flank the door.
  • Patriotic Door - The federalist blue doorway is framed by weathered siding.  The American Flags decorate the entrance and an Eagle protects the doorway.
  • Summer Door - The country doorway is festooned with beautiful roses and a trellis.
  • Autumn Door - A weathered copper roof sets off the autumn decorations for both Halloween and Thanksgiving.
  • Christmas - With a red door and a palladium window, this house just needed a little green provided by the wreath and matching Evergreens.
  • Chanukah -This house is decorated for Chanukah with its dreidels and  blue and silver embellishments.

There is an optional thread kit for each canvas since we recognize that many stitchers could open their own thread store with their stash.  Each door is painted on #18 mesh canvas; the design area is approximately 4" wide by 6" high.

The stitch guides were designed so that each door enables the stitcher to learn new techniques or use new threads.  They are easily finished projects and very addicting.
In addition to making wonderful decorations for your home, they also make great gifts.
