Formal Classes by Our Staff
Straight Stitches Notebook Class
Gretchen will be teaching Carole Lake's Straight Stitches Notebook Class again. The class will be taught once a month for six months. At the end, you will have a notebook with 90 Straight Stitches. It's a great opportunity to develop your stitch repertoire plus work on your technique while using up your stash.
The class will meet from 1 PM - 4 PM on Sundays:
September 12, October 10, November 21, December 12, January 9 and February 13.
Class Fee: $300 (includes line drawn canvases, stitch diagrams and classes. You will need two sets of 11" stretcher bars.)
Deposit: $60 deposit plus your credit card on file. You will be charged $40 per class.
Participants are committing to all six classes.
Wouldn't you love to have this delightful Turkey decorating your Thanksgiving table? Well, it possible.
This delightful canvas by Raymond Crawford is a quick project. Although some of the feathers and the wattle are done in great decorative stitches, most it is done in simple tent stitches (Basketweave or Continental) but with fun threads. It's the perfect project for the beginner or advanced beginner stitcher interested in learning new decorative stitches.
Larry the Turkey can decorate your Thanksgiving Table, too. Take the class and have the fully stitched canvas back to us by October 1. We will have it back in time for Thanksgiving dinner.We will call you once the canvas and kit are ready so you can get a head start. Class fee includes Kit, Stitch Guide and Class: $150.
Dates: Sunday, September 12 from 9 AM- 12 Noon.
Monday, September 13 from 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM
We will need a minimum of four participants for each class.
Coat Ladies Class
Eileen will be teaching this delightful Maggie canvas in three four hour sessions. This canvas works for the advanced beginner or intermediate stitcher. There will be two sections of this class: Sunday mornings or Monday mornings. We will need four participants for each section to be held. The cost for the four classes, the canvas mounted on Evertites and the stitch guide is $ 300. You will be able to use some of your stash or choose threads as you go.
Dates:
Sunday Afternoons from 1 PM to 4 PM: September 26, October 24 and November 14.
Monday mornings from 10 AM to 1 PM: September 27, November 1 and November 15.
We need to order the canvases ahead. In order to participate, we need your $ 150 deposit by August 1, 2010.
Late Fall and Winter Classes
Taught by Our Staff
Helen will be teaching this wonderful line-drawn canvas designed by David McCaskill. It makes a great gift for graduation, Father's Day or other occasions. The stitched canvas above was done in David's color choices; you will be able to pick your own. The class is for the advanced intermediate or advanced stitcher who is confident with reading diagrams, layering stitches and using a laying tool.

Rockefeller Center Christmas Stocking

This wonderful stocking lends itself to many different interpretations. (See the picture below). Join Eileen Aird as you stitch this fabulous Christmas Stocking or panel that beautifully captures New York at Christmas. We are now teaching the second group but could start a third group in late Fall 2010. Please call or email us if you are interested.
Flower Stall Class
Helen will be teaching this wonderful class again. This delightful canvas is perfect for the advanced beginner. You will work with a variety of threads plus learn new stitches and techniques. This class is for the advanced beginner who is comfortable reading a stitch diagram. The cost of the class $ 270. The fee includes the classes, the canvas, stitch guide, stretchers bars and threads.
